Ear stapling has been around for two decades. It is the combination of  auriculotherapy, acupressure and acupuncture. We call it "acupressure" with stapling. There are numerous reasons to have a staple placed; weight loss, smoking cessation, stress, tension, migraines or digestive imbalances i.e. gastric reflux, irritable bowel.

Because everyone has individual needs, I will try to target those needs regarding the ear staple. No two individuals are the same regarding the anatomy of their ears. There are even differences between the left and right ears.

The staple targets many areas and effects every individual differently. Your body takes whit it needs most. You may feel you are sleeping better, be less tense or over all feeling better. You may notice you are loosing inches before you loose pounds. You may feel like the staple isn't working, but it really is. It is targeting what you need fist, and most.

There are said to be over 700 auricular points in the ear. I do not target all of them. I concentrate on the pressure points for stress, tension, appetite, lbs, gastric reflux, cravings and smoking cessation. When you come in for an appointment, I'll explain each specific pint in detail. ( The diaphragm, the wonderful point and the stomach reflux). We will discuss why I am placing the staple where I am placing it and each individual purpose. I also will discuss how to care for your staples.

Through my training I have found that the majority of clients come in for the weight loss staple, which at this time it is reported to be over 90% success rate. For smoking and migraines there is reported to be an 85% success rate.

Be educated on what you are placing in your body. It is important to be aware of who is placing your staples. Most states do nor require people to be trained or certified in this procedure. Any individual can purchase the equipment online and say they know about stapling, when they don't. This puts you at risk for infections, scaring and no results. It takes knowledge and training on identifying acupuncture points in the ear and technique of how to perform this procedure. All providers placing staple are different and have different methods and behaviors. Be aware of what is occurring and don't be afraid to ask questions.
